Tata Steel Foundation, Communications Consultant -  August 2019 - April 2020

I was largely engaged in the capacity of a journalist at Tata Steel Foundation for one of their signature programmes on tribal identity, namely Samvaad. During this time I would travel with the team for numerous regional editions of the conclave spanning north, south, central, north-east and west India, along with Jharkhand and Odisha. At these various events I conducted interviews to bring significant and inspiring stories to the forefront, to enrich the tribal narrative and gauge the various aspects that together form the tribal community. At the end of each of the conclaves, the documentation would culminate in a 20-25 page report that would elaborate on the issues and stories particular to that region. Additionally, I worked on conceptualizing the Foundation magazine including ideation on content strategy, design and visual elements, collaborative strategy, developing timelines and the first flatplan for the same.

Litro Magazine - June 2018 to November 2019

My work at Litro included providing administrative support, editorial & marketing assistance, and communicating with writers, artists, customer queries and contributor queries. We print 4 themed issues every year along with an international issue (Translating India, The Soul of Seoul) etc, for which I closely worked with the Editor-in-Chief. For this online and print literary magazine, I provided full editorial support from planning monthly issues for the UK print edition and managing online submissions, to seeing the same all the way through to production. I managed the Litro UK and Litro NY website to calendarise, schedule and publish stories. My work included liaising with the graphic designer and the section editors periodically, for the smooth running of the organisation. I also put together the weekly newsletters on mailchimp. I also researched and developed collaborative opportunities with other organisations. During my time, I also managed the social media pages (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) planning and posting content.

Editor of College Magazine, Apoorva - 2016 - 2017

During my time as one of the 2 editors of Apoorva, we selected the articles from submissions from the college to put together "Apoorva" the annual magazine. We copy edited and proofread made changes to the articles to publish politically correct ones and wrote the Editor's letter that accompanied the issue.

Team lead and Editor at Icy Tales- 2015 - 2016

I started off as a content writer here, and was then absorbed as an editor. Here I wrote on numerous issues starting from homosexuality, feminism, death of Alan Kurdi to conducting a couple of interviews. After I was included in their team of Editors, I managed a team of content writers (freelance and permanent) and worked with them to develop articles before making final edits to the piece. I also managed submissions and selected articles for publication based on predecided themes. I worked closely with Soubhik Chakrabarty the CEO of Icy Tales.

Editor of White Noise, English Dept Magazine KNC, Delhi University - 2015-2016

During my time as the editor in the White Noise team, I worked closely with Kanak Ma'am to publish 2 issues of White Noise in my second year in college. We came up with two themed issues, and selected, copy edited and proof read the submissions to produce the final issues.
